“LA DOTTORESSA" BARBERA D’ASTI SUPERIORE D.O.C.G.

Created to celebrate the awarding of a university degree, it quickly became a staple of our production. The vineyards, always strictly on hillsides, enjoy a perfect exposure to the sun.
After the grape harvest there follows the alcoholic fermentation with the must remaining on the skins (10 - 12 days). It is aged in oak barrels, then bottled and then the bottles are stored in our cellars, where the wine is aged for at least six months in a horizontal position.



ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

SPECIES OF VINE: Barbera.
AREA OF PRODUCTION: The bailiwick of the commune of Nizza Monferrato.
COLOUR: ruby red when young, tending toward pomegranate red on aging.
BOUQUET: winy, full-bodied, palatable, becoming more amenable and harmonious with age.
TASTE: full-bodied, velvety, suitably tannic thanks to its being aged in wood.
AT TABLE: a generous wine for the whole meal, recommended with roasts, grilled or braised dishes, stews and seasoned, solt, and piquant cheeses.
BEST SERVED AT A TEMPERATURE OF: 18-22 °C.
